WordPress, the world’s most popular content management system (CMS), on April 12, 2016, released its latest version named “Coleman” in honour of the jazz saxophonist Coleman Hawkins. Version 4.5 can now be downloaded or updated in your WordPress dashboard. This version features a number of useful enhancements and bug-fixes which promise to simplify the way we write or construct our websites.
Recognising the immense popularity of handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets, WordPress has added device preview buttons to enable us to view how our site will look on all devices, not just computer screens. Now, we are also able to add our company logos to WordPress official themes such as Twenty Sixteen. The Inline Link Editing has been redesigned to allow users to link their content to URLs effortlessly. WordPress has also added bug-fixes and new features to the Comments component and now images are generated more effectively with improved visual quality for reduced sizes of up to 50%.
For individuals who do a little more than just write content, there are numerous enhancements, bug-fixes and solutions to security problems which promise to make their workflow much less complicated.
